Does MyReel have a drag system?
Yes. The MyReel Quick Rewind features a Flex drag system that allows controlled line release when a fish makes powerful runs. The drag helps you tire the fish smoothly while reducing the risk of breaking the line.
How do you fight a fish with MyReel?
The Flex drag is controlled with your thumb. You can adjust the drag pressure while fighting the fish and allow it to take line when needed. When the fish's run slows down, you can reel the line back in.
This allows you to tire the fish gradually instead of trying to stop it by force.
Is MyReel difficult or tiring to reel?
No. MyReel has no traditional reel handle. Instead, you retrieve the line by rotating the reel with your finger.
The direct-drive design makes line retrieval fast and simple.
How big of a fish can I catch with MyReel?
The MyReel Quick Rewind comes with approximately 20 metres of braided line rated at 10 kg / 23 lbs.
This does not mean that 10 kg is the maximum fish size. The actual size of fish you can safely land depends on the species, its fighting power, conditions, your technique and how you use the drag.
The Flex drag allows larger fish to take line and tire themselves out gradually instead of trying to stop them by force.
Is MyReel safe to use?
Yes, when used as intended. MyReel is designed for fishing, and the Flex drag on the Quick Rewind helps you control powerful runs from fish.
As with any fishing equipment, use line, hooks and lures appropriate for your target species. Always check the condition of the reel, line and connections before fishing.

Can MyReel handle cold and hot conditions?
MyReel is designed for year-round use, including cold conditions. Our products are made using PLA and PETG materials, with different materials used for different parts depending on their intended purpose.
High temperatures can cause plastic components to soften. Do not leave your MyReel for extended periods in direct sunlight, a hot car or near strong heat sources, as this may cause the parts to deform.
